After the green light, does an iPod shuffle still keep charging?

I have an iPod Shuffle 2nd generation and would like to know after the green light showing a full charge if left in the dock will the iPod still continue to charge or will it stop charging?

iPod shuffle, Windows 7

Looking again the meaning of the status lights depends on which device it is and whether it is on charge when you look at it. A fully depleted battery should be charged in 4 hours or less. It shouldn't be possible to overcharge the device. Batteries accept charge fairly quickly when they are drained and more slowly as they reach full charge which is why it can be charged from flat to 80% in two hours, but take another two to get to 100%.
